We finally made it to London. I know that it seems sad that it took so long but we just wanted to see a few other things first. We woke up early, found some great friends from our ward, and hopped in the car. It's about a one hour drive to get to a subway stop and then a thirty minute ride to get to downtown.
For our first trip, we went to Hamley's, which is a really large toy store. It was five stories tall and we went with the intention of "just looking." We ended up buying about $60 worth of toys. They had salesmen everywhere and we were easy targets. The salesmen had toys out that you could play before you bought them.We then went to the London Eye. That is the large ferris wheel that was built for the year 2000 celebration. It usually doesn't stop moving. It takes about thirty minutes to go around and you get on while it is still moving. The views were fantastic. I think that when we were at the top of the Eye, we were much higher than Peter Pan.
