Goodbye and Hello

Kris and the kids left about the end of July to come back to the U.S. I was lucky enough to stay one more month and spend my time cleaning the house so that another family could move in. That family also bought my car and then moved into the house. What a great deal for us. On the way back, the kids were lucky enough to see some great friends in Provo as Kris was longing for someone who could cut her hair correctly. As a result, everyone stopped off at that Durlands and the Uhls's dropped by as well. It was great to see everyone again and how much they have all changed over three years. It has been exciting.

After a short stay in Utah to pick up the new van, Kris drove across Idaho to finally see our new town for the very first time. Don't worry, she is used to moving to places that she has never seen before and start a brand new life. I chose the house in Provo while she was stuck in Texas and we chose Corvallis together but she still had never seen it. I promise to change my ways and let her pick out our house. On the way, it was great to see cousins and family that we hadn't seen for so long.

It is hard to leave behind England but we look forward to starting things new here. Katy started school and we had our traditional picture of the kids on the first day with their new backpack. Evan was also baptized and we had family come in for this great occasion. He was so excited to get baptized and Nick and Lizzy were able to give great talks on baptism and the holy ghost. We missed all our friends from England but were excited to have such great support here. We look forward to our new start, I hope Kris chooses a nice house.

I'm very confident in Kris' house choosing abilities! Congrats on Evan's baptism...wish we were closer. Can't believe Texas wasn't on the short list for places to come back to.
